Metal Prints
Metal Prints
Metal prints offer an economical, modern way to present a photograph as a finished piece of wall art. Using dye sublimation, the image is infused into a specialized coating on aluminum. The result is a clean, radiant look with exceptional clarity, rich color, and a finish that holds up beautifully in living rooms, dining rooms, offices, and bedrooms.
What is Metal Print?
Metal Prints are a premium dye-sublimation substrate engineered with a specialized coating that delivers vivid color, crisp detail, and long-term durability, with an archival rating of 65+ years. That coating is what allows the dyes to become part of the surface, creating a print that looks luminous and refined from edge to edge.
How dye sublimation works
Your photograph is first printed as a transfer using dye inks. Heat and pressure then convert those dyes into a gas that infuses into the coated aluminum surface. As the coating cools, the image is sealed into the finish. This is why metal prints are known for their punchy color, 3D quality, and durable surface.

FAQs
Are metal prints glossy?
Yes. Metal Prints feature a high-gloss finish that enhances the print's three-dimensionality and vibrancy. Yet this surface can also be highly reflective, which may be a consideration when choosing your print medium.
What is the visual difference between a Metal Print and an Anti-Reflection Acrylic?
Anti-Reflection Acrylic is designed to reduce reflections by up to 75% compared to Metal Prints and traditional framed glass prints.
Can I hang metal prints in a bathroom?
Yes. Metal prints are my only recommended choice for spaces with humidity or moisture because the image is infused into the coated surface, preventing moisture from entering the print and causing damage.
Do metal prints need a frame?
No. Metal prints are designed to be a finished display product, mounted with a floating hanger system, so they arrive ready to hang.
How do I clean my Metal Print?
Simple to clean using a gentle cleaner (ammonia-free) and a soft microfiber cloth, or dust with a Swiffer Duster or similar.
What sizes are available as a Metal Print? My metal prints are available in sizes up to 72 inches wide and panoramas up to 96 inches, enabling projects ranging from intimate statement pieces to true focal-point walls.
