Based on current Google ratings and review counts among standalone commercial art galleries in Santa Barbara, Gallery Santa Barbara has also become the most-reviewed Santa Barbara art gallery maintaining a perfect 5.0-star rating.
For a gallery that only recently opened on State Street, we are incredibly grateful.

When we opened Gallery Santa Barbara at 1220 State Street in downtown Santa Barbara, we wanted to build something more than another place to buy artwork.
We wanted to create a gallery people genuinely enjoyed visiting.
Fine art galleries can sometimes feel intimidating or overly formal. We wanted the opposite. Whether someone walks through our doors as a serious collector, an interior designer, a visitor exploring Santa Barbara, or simply someone who loves photography, everyone should feel welcome to slow down, explore the artwork, ask questions, and experience the stories behind the photographs.
Seeing that experience reflected again and again in our Google reviews has been incredibly rewarding.
More than 50 people have now taken time out of their lives to share their experience with Gallery Santa Barbara, and every one of those reviews has helped a new gallery become part of the Santa Barbara community.

A Fine Art Photography Gallery on State Street
Gallery Santa Barbara specializes in museum-quality fine art photography by photographers Nolan Nitschke and Philip Waller.
Together, the collection spans dramatically different parts of the natural world.
Visitors will find California landscape photography, Santa Barbara coastal imagery, Yosemite and Eastern Sierra landscapes, wildlife, Hawaii photography, ocean scenes, underwater photography, sea turtles and other moments collected over decades behind the camera.
The goal has never been simply to fill walls with beautiful photographs.
Every image has a story.
Some required years of returning to the same landscape waiting for the right conditions. Others happened during extraordinary moments of weather, wildlife behavior, ocean conditions or light that may never happen exactly the same way again.
Those photographs are available in a variety of museum-quality formats, including ready-to-hang metal prints, limited edition anti-reflection acrylic prints, canvas prints, matted prints and fine art paper prints.
Seeing these photographs online can introduce you to the collection. Seeing them printed several feet across and hanging on the walls of the gallery is an entirely different experience.
